Why Petra Rankin decided to start publishing self-help books:

While she had bought her first franchise in a finance company when she was 19 and had bought a home by 20, a bout of depression was affecting her life.

When the self-help books did not actually do much to help, she had no choice but to take matters into her own hands.

“I found I was getting really frustrated by the fact the information in these books was really drawn out, really long-winded,” she said.

“And, when I thought about it, I really wanted to make it easier for people who read them.”

Success set up with a self-help manual
